Neil Citron

Declassified Records and SBI Music Inc. have partnered to release CD's from Grammy winning guitarist/engineer/producer Neil Citron. Known for his work playing, engineering, and producing award winning bands like BangTower, Quite Riot and Lana Lane, Neil has also collaborated with several major artists on catalog of his impressive solo releases. He's engineered/produced rock-guitar virtuoso's John 5, Slash, Steve Vai and others as well as internationally renowned drummers Greg Bissonette, Virgil Donati, Frankie Banali and Mike Mangini. He's worked on numerous films including ""Ricki & The Flash", That Thing You Do", and "My Big Fat Greek Wedding". His work with Larry Carlton & Steve Lukather earned him his first Grammy in 2002 for the record "No Substitutions: Live in Osaka” (Best Contemporary Instrumental Album). The first re-mastered CD "In Search of Higher Ground" featuring Tony Franklin on Bass, Keyboardist Erik Norlander and Walter Garces of BangTower on Percussion, the second "Flavored Jam" features Matt and Gregg Bissonette.

BangTower is a progressive musical alliance featuring legendary bassist Percy Jones, Grammy winning guitarist/engineer/producer Neil Citron and LA "Drum Guru" Walter Garces. Their maiden voyage entitled Casting Shadows was released by Declassified Records in fall of 2010 and the single "This is my Town" in 2013 in addition to 3 music videos. With Percy's unmistakable bass sound percolating next to Walter's harmonic cannons and implements of percussive wonder, an edgy yet incredibly dreamy, otherworldly texture becomes prominent throughout the mix. Neil's unique guitar work takes full advantage of this partnership by blending gorgeous chordal interludes, amazing melodic passages interlaced with scorchingly insane soloing. The key element in this "trio of masters " music can be best described with one word; rapport. Though Jones, Garces and Citron are all virtuosos in their own right, it's quite evident that these players are enthusiastically enjoying the crafting of this music. Produced by Jon Pomplin (Declassified Records), and Neil Citron.
